From September 5-12, the world of fashion descends on the island of Manhattan for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. One of four major fashion weeks occurring in September and February (the others in London, Paris, and Milan), hundreds of thousands of fashion admirers and industry insiders come to Lincoln Center to view the debuts of established houses and emerging designers' creations for the upcoming season. A veritable experience, #NYFW is the stage that many fashion house mainstays choose to reveal their innovations and campaigns. Also a place for up and coming designers to debut their work and be discovered, there is no shortage of cameras and coverage following the action.
Some of my favorite looks from the first two days of #NYFW. Designers shown - Zimmerman, Tadashi Shoji, Nicole Miller and BCBGMaxAzria. To watch runway presentations live and to learn more about the designers, visit Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (photo credits).
